Al Little is the recently retired (July 2016) Manager of Special Projects - GIS for the City of Hamilton in Ontario, Canada. Al has over 33 years experience in the surveying, mapping, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and information technology fields, 30 of which were in a municipal government environment. Al holds a Cartographic Technician diploma from Seneca College (Toronto), a Bachelor of Environmental Studies degree from the University of Waterloo, and a certificate in Managing Information Technology Projects from George Washington University (School of Business and Public Management). He is also an active member of the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA) both internationally and in Ontario. Al was the Associate Program Chair for GIS-Pro 2011 in Indianapolis, Indiana, Program Chair for GIS-Pro 2012 in Portland, Oregon, Conference Chair for GIS-Pro 2013 in Providence, Rhode Island, and Conference Co-Chair for GIS-Pro 2016 in Toronto, Ontario.
